In his hilarious and controversial new stand up show, You Are Being Lied To 2012, seasoned comic David Mulholland takes on one of the most fundamental institutions of modern society; British Newspapers.

Formerly trained as an investigative reporter, Mulholland employs his investigative talents and spot-on wit to challenge the accuracy and reliability of Britain's biggest newspapers.

Using his history as an ex war reporter, You Are Being Lied To 2012 recounts Mulholland’s attempted firing by the Bush Administration, how he originally broke the story of Haliburton's corruption, and why it's sometimes useful to have a Southern accent, as well as fact checking such power house newspapers as The Daily Mail, The Sun, and The Daily Express.

Inspired by an issue of The Daily Mail, Mulholland decided that if the newspapers weren't going to their job, he was going to it for them. Not only has he managed to do that but he's done them one better. Funnier and far more accurate than the newspapers themselves, You are being Lied To 2012 is a hilarious and insightful depiction of the blurred line between fact and fiction in today's world.

David Mulholland originally hails from New Orleans but has been living as an ex-pat in London for over a decade. Trained as an economist, he then went to work as a military journalist for the Wall Street Journal before becoming a full time comedian. You Are Being Lied 2012 is the fourth edition of the You Are Being Lied To series that has toured around the UK and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
